Dear Tess,
You turned TWO today! And I can't say it was the best day for you, but we tried. You woke throwing up (for the first time in your little life) at 3am. After a few more hours of sleep, you seemed to have recovered so we took you guys to see Inside Out and it was almost as cute as you are. But when we tried to make a quick stop at Sam's Club you threw up on the floor. Basically, that was your whole special day. Although, you did love your new toaster and microwave. Next year will be better.
Now, let me dote on you for a second...
You are so adorable, we can't stand it!
You are a little less of a troublemaker than you were six months ago and are now a bit more sassy.
You talk, talk, talk, talk, all day long.
You LOVE to be tickled. You often say "tickle my pits! tickle my back! tickle my toes!"
You've never cried going to Nursery, but you are almost mute in there. Obviously, this is in stark contrast to your normal self. But, you are a sponge. You come home and sing us all the songs you've learned. You know most of the words to Follow the Prophet, The Wise Man Built His House Upon the Rock, I am a Child of God, Popcorn Popping, and Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam.
When you are not singing a real song, you are usually making up your own tune.
You've learned your colors pretty well.
Your second molars are coming through and you keep telling everyone "my tooth came out".
You can somersault like a champion.
You remind us so much of Jack... you are independent, stubborn, FEARLESS, and strong.
You are a pretty good eater, but you are also dislike some of the same things as Jack... you won't eat any bread!
You know the world revolves around you.
And we fight to be the next to snuggle you!
I love you!
-Mom
