Last Sunday, Wesley's primary teacher caught me in the hall after church and told me Wesley volunteered to teach his class the next week. She said he had been asking to do it for a few weeks, so they printed a copy of the next lesson, but assured me they also would have the lesson prepared so there was no pressure for him to fill up any amount of time. When I saw him in the hall, he exclaimed "I get to give the lesson next week!!!" and he immediately started reading through the lesson when we got home. Then of course, he was distracted by the usual fun and the week went on. But sure enough, Saturday afternoon he pulled out his lesson again. He marked his scriptures and picked out pictures and planned a whole lesson. After church, I asked him and his teachers how it went and he said great. He'd taught the whole time and even ran out of time before singing a song. This kid is incredible! I hope he's always this eager to study the gospel and be a teacher!
And today, Sister Green and Sister Inkley brought over this sign and note.
