Seriously?

Just when it looked like we were all staying healthy, all of the kids got a cold... which turned into double ear infections for Avery, a sinus infection for Jack and also double ear infections for Tess.  We were at the doctor 3 times in four days!  Ughh.
A week later, Avery developed this rash.  A little hard to see in pictures, but tiny red dots all over her forehead, cheeks, neck, chest, and shoulders.  After talking to the doctor (again!) it was determined to be a reaction to the amoxicillin.  No big deal, her ear infections had already cleared up anyway and we avoided another trip to the doctor's office.
Two days later, these spots start popping up on Tess, right before my eyes!  Not in any way like Avery's rash, these were large bumps almost like mosquito bites.  After she woke up from her nap itching the back of her head like crazy, I knew I had to take her to the instacare.  And guess what they determined it to be... CHICKENPOX!  What?!  I mean really?!  She's up to date with her vaccinations, so they said it should be a mild case (no high fever, lasting 3-5 days) and sent me on my way.
The thing is she woke up the next morning with completely clear skin.  Hmmm, now I was really confused.  How could she get the chickenpox and then have it all disappear in less than 18 hours?  So I took her back to the doctor (I think I've lost count how many times I've gone in last few months!).  I showed them these pictures and they agreed it sure looks like chickenpox, told me that was faster than they've ever seen it go away, but it might reappear, and sent me on my way.  Oh, and although it looks nothing like Avery's rash which is the typical reaction to amoxicillin, they are noting a possible allergy to amoxicillin in her chart also since she was on the antibiotic too, just to be safe.  Great.
For the record, the spots never reappeared and none of the other kids got it.  Lets hope we are SUPER lucky and this is our only experience with the chickenpox.
