Probably two years ago I was desperate for regular date nights with my husband. For too long we had just been dropping the kids off with Grandma and Grandpa once every few months and I really wanted to get out more often. That's when Allison and I came up with the. best. deal. ever. We decided to watch the other's kids once a month for a date night and it has worked out better than I could have hoped. On our date nights, we drop of the kids at Allison's (the kids love that part, it's more like a play date for them) and then she brings them back to our house at bedtime. It's perfect... we don't have to spend extra money on a sitter and we don't have to rush home to put the kids to bed! I am SO THANKFUL Allison enjoys this deal as much as I do!
All that being said, we've fallen into a bit of a "dinner and a movie" rut. So we decided to switch things up a bit and become "tourists" for a few hours each month, or at least try to do or see something we haven't in a while.
Twelve and a half years ago Brad proposed at the entrance to Ensign Peak, but we've never been back. It was a perfect evening to take a walk, or climb, to the top! I love this beautiful valley. But not nearly as much as I love my handsome husband!
