Christmas!

Documenting Christmas is overwhelming.  Each one has become more exciting and delightful since we've had kids.  Yet another reason why I take so many pictures, their faces and reactions caught on camera are a thousand times better than my words.  But I'll do my best.
Christmas morning comes early, especially when you've been up with a throwing up child in the middle of the night... and she needs a shower... and all the bedding has to be changed.  Don't worry Tess woke up like nothing happened, we were just a little groggy.  Happily, Christmas morning is always too fun to stay tired for long.
I think there were many more presents under the tree this year than we planned and Santa showed up too, bringing a large delivery.  The kids must have been extra good this year!
Wesley was of course obsessed with all the new basketball stuff he got.  And Jack always rushes to the table to build whatever new Lego set (or Playmobil) Santa has brought and to eat his first treat of the day!
Santa brought Avery the Barbie Eye Doctor she had been asking for and Tessa got her own Barbie car and little barbies.  Girl heaven.
The first gifts we opened were the ones the kids picked out for each other at the school's holiday gift shop.  I love how genuinely they appreciate the thoughtful gifts from each other.  Avery loved her rose from Wesley.  Jack loved his tentacle pen from Avery.  And both boys surprised the other with almost the exact same blue car!
Plus, Jack handed out a couple homemade gifts which were just perfect.
On to some super great gifts from Mimi and Papa, their faces say it all.
And finally, a couple from Mom and Dad.
This is how Wesley spent the next hour before we left...
all decked out in every new thing he got and soaking in his new book.
Off to Grandma and Grandpa's house... and more presents.
Tessa loved all of the Doc McStuffins gear.
Avery was beyond excited about her Zoomer Kitty.
Jack can't get enough Legos.
Wesley was in heaven with more sports stuff.
And if I ever have to go to an ugly sweater party, I know who to borrow one from!
I'm so thankful for this family of ours, for the holidays, and for our Savior.  It was a very Merry Christmas.
