Wesley turned 8 at exactly the right time, because the very next week was the Pinewood Derby! Brad and Wesley and Grandpa Curtis shaped the wood into a truck and Wesley painted it himself. He was super proud of it and totally excited. Only trouble was Brad didn't think of the weight issue until the night of, so he piled on a bunch of screws, batteries, etc. and tied it together with some plastic... we'll be a little more prepared next time :)
Wesley didn't pay much attention to the complication, he was preparing to join the color guard. He's so cute!
His car didn't do great in the races, but he had a good time and got the "MOST COLORFUL" award. Oh and he already earned his Bobcat!
