This weekend, celebrating Jack's baptism and Iley's blessing, has been one of the best. I feel so grateful for the family Brad and I have created. Grateful for my amazing husband, who expresses his love for us, worthily uses the priesthood to bless us, and selflessly gives to make us happy. Grateful for each one of our children and our opportunity to raise them. Grateful for our parents, grandparents, and siblings and the love and support they give us. Grateful for our fantastic friends who are always here to help. But mostly, grateful for a loving Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ who have provided a way for our family to be together forever. It was the best kind of weekend, close to family and the spirit.
My mom made this beautiful blessing dress for Iley. These girls have no idea how lucky they've been to each have a dress made for them by their Mimi. Iley looked like a perfect angel.
We had a small get together before sacrament meeting and then a quiet afternoon afterwards. I love watching my mom snuggle on her grandbabies. And my sweet grandma... she's struggled with dimentia for a while now and she may ask the same questions over and over, but her love for us hasn't dimmed at all. These moments with her are precious.
AND on top of Iley's dress, my mom sewed this masterpiece quilt too! Each of the quilts she's made my babies have been beautiful, but this one is my favorite! Thank you Mom!!!
After lounging around we went to Chris and Lory's for dinner and let the kids pick pumpkins. Chris has the most beautiful yard, especially in the fall.
And tonight after the kids were tucked in bed, my mom spent a half our massaging Iley's back. She's been doing it almost every night and this baby girl just melts in her hands completely relaxed. It's so sweet and cute, it had to be documented. It's been such a perfect day.
