Dear Wesley,
Today was your first day of school. It's hard to believe how fast you've grown. You are such an amazing little boy and so smart! Last week you had an assessment with your teacher, Mrs.Melzer, and you breezed through it so fast. You knew every letter, sound, word! You've been excited for Kindergarten for so long now; you weren't nervous at all this morning. Dad came home to watch Avery and Jack while I took you to class and the excitement on your face says it all. Once we got there you didn't want to waste much time with pictures, you had a playground to get to. Mrs.Melzer sang a cute song to your class as you lined up to go in and, lucky for us parents, she let us come in too for a few minutes. You found your seat on your own and after exploring the room for a minute and learning the class routine it was time for me to go. You gave me a hug and kiss and never looked up again. And, no I didn't cry either, I was too excited for you. I hope you continue to have a passion for school and learning. I couldn't be more proud of you!
