A few years ago Lory wrote a book about his father's experiences in WWII. Harland "Bud" Curtis was a paratrooper in the 517th. We've been really grateful that Lory has taken the time to document this part of our family history, but now we're even more excited for Lory because his book was just used

We were invited to view a premier of the film at the Foursite Film Festival last night. The movie was really good and it was so fun to be there with the actors and directors who shared some insight on the making of the movie, they even recognized Lory and his book. We are so proud of him.
Sitting with us was one of the last living members of the 517th (only eight are left). I was really moved when the crowd gave him a standing ovation for his service. The experience was wonderful and I'm grateful I got to be a part of it.
