I love it when Shaylyn comes for a visit. We've been friends for almost 20 years and only lived in the same city for one, so I look forward to our annual weekend together.
We went tubing at Soldier Hollow for the first time... so fun. I don't know why I haven't done this every winter, we loved it so much.
This winter has been so dry, we were able to spend a sunny afternoon at the park.
And we were able to cram in a lot of girl time, movies, food... you know, all of my favorite things. Plus my Mom came into town for the last couple days she was here, even more fun.
Just because I love them, here are a couple more favorites from Shay's camera.
I love Shay, but it was extra great during this trip to see how much my kids love her. "Auntie Shay" they call her. Avery loved having Shay take out her camera, "take picture me, Auntie Shay", followed by the cheesiest grins.
Jack made sure he told Auntie Shay he loved her each night before bed. And Wesley talked her ear off.
We're already excited for her next trip to see us.

I had such a fantastic time. I missed the kids the second we left the driveway :( My favorite is when Brad called me 'Shaylyn' and Jack promptly corrected him with, "That's not her name Dad, her name is Auntie Shay!" I just love your kids to pieces. Plus it was great to see your mom and as always these trips make me wish we lived closer to each other. Love you lots!! xoxo
